Opinion of the Venice Commission was expounded specially for Yushchenko… so that not to lay a bad trip on him

“The main goal of the new Constitution of Yushchenko is to implement an oligarchic mode in Ukraine”,- stated MP from BYuT faction VALERIY PYSARENKO making a comment on the draft law amending the Constitution presented by Viktor Yushchenko for the estimation Venice commission of Council of Euorope.
According to MP, Yushchenko’s team is telling a kind and beautiful fairytale for the whole country that the Commission has positively estimated the President’s draft law. In truth the commission is severe on the main proposals of the Constitution of Yushchenko which are related to the state system of Ukraine and people will expression.
“The President’s team cancels all democratic grounds which were defended and protected by Viktor Yushchenko in 2004. A retinue doesn’t want to disappoint their king so the opinion of  the Venice Commission was specially expounded in Ukraine for the President”, - noted MP.

“According to the draft law amending the Constitution of Ukraine presented by the President all state authorities will be separated between him and the parliament pretended a senate, which practically will be a knot of oligarchs. The composition of the parliament will decrease up to 83 members who will definitely find an opportunity to separate the country. And namely between these people and ex-presidents as well all state powers will be separated. And Viktor Yushchenko will get both a life-time Senate parliamentary and inviolability”, - stated parliamentarian.
In PYSARENKO’S opinion a draft law "On Making Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine", made by President Viktor Yushchenko has no chances to be approved in the parliament, that’s why there is a risk of constitutional revolution.
“Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko doesn’t support a draft law on the new Constitution. I think that Yushchenko’s dreams about an unlimited power will remain as his pink dreams forever”, - summed up PYSARENKO.pinion on the draft law of Ukraine amending the Constitution presented by the President of Ukraine

Two interesting outcomes in the final round vote that have not been widely discussed in the English media is the outcome in Zakarpattia and Ternopil. We are not sure if it has been been discussed in the Ukrainian media 1. Viktor Yanukovych was the highest polling candidate in Zakarpattiia previsoully Our Ukraine/Yushchenko were the highest. (See 2004,2006 and 2007 election results ) District 74 місто Берегове (Beregove - a Hungarian community located near the border) 2. The other interesting observation is that Yanukovych actually went backwards between the first round and the second round in Ternopiil.  In the first round Yanukovych received 6354 (0.26% of the national vote) in the second final round, with less number of candidates, Yanukovych recorded only 5370 (0.21% of the national vote)  Why Yanukovych went backwards in the second round is any ones guess but we think this  would make interesting reading.

History repeats: Victor Yushchenko interferes with Ukraine's judicial process.

The Kyiv Administrative court has issued a injunction suspending the Presidents decree dismissing Ukraine's democratically elected parliament. In what is reminiscent of events unfolded last year, Victor Yushchenko has again interfered with the independence of Ukraine's judiciary .
